About

Using UV-reactive paint on secondhand materials, self-taught artist Rae Hofstedt (b. 1995, Glendale, CA) creates spiritually sardonic cartoons of worms arguing with God and Its one-eyed servants. These small acrylic paintings reveal vibrant details when exposed to black light, depicting Rae’s propensity for squirming away from the peace that she pursues. Based in the Portland metropolitan area, OR.
